Gentlemen, I've resolved/solved the issue, however, appears to be potentially related to the version 15.34 (170404), or at least, it seems fine after reverting to 15.33 (170409). I appreciate your suggestions, and prior to un-installing & re-installing, I did boot my mac into safe mode (forcing it to auto-repair system permissions), however, behavior did not change doing this. The solution was fully uninstalling Office 2016 for Mac version 15.34 (170404), and re-installing 15.33 (170409) which I downloaded from the Office 365 portal. Going forward I'm leaving insider off, as this issue is too severe for me to work with. Below are the directions I used to uninstall before re-installing with the fresh copy downloaded from Microsoft. • • Thanks again for the help!

Is this happening in the same document or comparing a PDF created prior to the update vs a PDF created after the update? Did you check your SaveAs PDF options to verify the setting that makes the hyperlinks? Andrew, Yes, this is happening in the same document that I have been adding working hyperlinks before. The old links still work; none of the new ones go anywhere; they are blue, underlined, and work within the Word for MAC document, but when I Save to PDF, (Best for Internet Publishing) only the older links work. The cursor does not change when I mouseover the new links; it changes over the old. Thank you for your interest.

Its a bit of a longshot but the only thing I can suggest is to check the hyperlink base which should be a field in the document properties. Maybe you could post a sample Word document with a good link and a dud link so we can have a look on a windows machine to see if we get the same result. Thank you for taking the time to help me with this. I am not seeing a way to check hyperlink base properties. I am using the same method of 'Inserting' a 'Hyperlink' and choosing the heading to go to. I appreciate your help.
